Delhi Bomb Blasts..
Its a pity that something like this should happen one day before the Diwali. My heartfelt condolences to all the families who have lost their near and dear ones in the bomb blasts. The terrorists, with an intention of creating communal tension just before Diwali (just like the 1992 Mumbai blasts) have failed miserably. Back in 1992 in Mumbai, every day, we used to live in fear of another bomb blast, with everyone heaving a collective sigh of relief at the end of the day, if no untoward incident had taken place. Delhiites however, have taken it into their stride courageously , and have reminded the terrorists that it takes more than a few bomb blasts to shake their courage and belief in unity and integrity. With no communal parties like abc or xyz to instigate them against any other religion, the Delhiites are a much more sensible bunch. Hats off to them..
Although Musharaff has offered India “unequivocal support for investigation” into the New Delhi bomb explosions,(in return for the earthquake aid offered by us) I just dont find any point behind it. I would be surprised if anything useful turns up from the Pakistanis during the investigation, although there is a very good probability that there are millions of terrorist training camps organised by the ISI in Pakistan. Now that the terrorists involved in the Dec 13 th attack on parliament have been handed sentences, hope that this investigation is not one of those wild-goose chases, and the guilty are duly punished.
Happy Diwali to one and all and finally, the quote of the day is,
